About Us

We are a British – German family of four who live in the beautiful Axarquia region of Andalucia.

Prior to moving to Andalucia, we lived in London and Liverpool (and before that in some other lovely parts of the world :)). Raal has successfully ran the UK division of an international engineering company for many years. Claudia worked for many years in the education and care sectors in Germany and the UK.

 In 2018 we decided to take a leap of faith,  follow our dreams and moved abroad to start a new life in Spain. We have come to love the Spanish village lifestyle and have thoroughly enjoyed our adventure so far with all its ups and downs :).

Our two boys have settled in better than we could have ever imagined, having been made to feel so welcome when they started at the local primary school. The love exploring the local countryside and wildlife – snakes included 😉 !

Since living here we have become more and more fascinated by the ancient olive groves surrounding our village.

Having always had a keen interest in health and nutrition it was inevitable that we would fall in love with the locally produced organic extra virgin olive oil.

We then thought how great it would be if we could share this outstanding local super-food with people  ‘back home’ and that is how the idea of Olivivo was born. Luckily we found a great partner for Olivivo in the S.C.A Olivarera y Frutera San Isidro in Periana. The special care and extra thought of this cooperative is exactly what we were looking for and what makes this oil so special.

We continue to be amazed at the tremendous health benefits of Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil and would love Olivivo’s customers to be able to enjoy it themselves.
